Yep, it’s the viral trend all over again
A ‘disturbing’ picture of a smiling patient in a hospital bed has gone viral but the reality has been tipped as even more ‘horrifying’.
And to be honest, you might be more horrified at the thought of this kind of thing being back on social media again.
So, the image in questions sees a man laying propped up in bed, with a hospital gown open to show his bare chest and a sheet laying over his privates.
While he grins happily at the camera, balloons can be seen at the side, with a bottle of beer next to medicine bottles beside him.
Oh, and it’s not just any bloke, it’s rapper Slowthai with the photo coming from his music video for ‘Feel Away’ with James Blake and Mount Kimbie. But that’s not the ‘disturbing’ part.
It’s actually just cake (Instagram/@the_bakeking)
Turns out the body is actually made entirely out of cake. Yep, the snap is from 2021, back when the ‘is it real or is it cake’ thing seemed to pop up everywhere online.
But it really is impressive as people were genuinely shocked when the body was sliced up into pieces to reveal the sponge within.
To make the whole thing more realistic, it seems some of the top portion actually is Slowthai, as his head moves about while people tuck into slices of his legs.

A close up of his hand laying face down on the bed really is creepy as it genuinely looks so real – but is soon chopped up into more slices of cake.
The Bake King shared his impressive work to Instagram, revealing: “Made for his music video ‘Feel Away’ – all his body parts were made from vanilla cake and chocolate ganache with sugar paste details!”
With the snaps completely viral, some users simply called the creation ‘disturbing’ while others say it’s ‘absolutely incredible’.

Many agreed they wouldn’t be able to eat it as one pointed out: “Imagine walking past the oven and seeing the silhouette of a man baking.”
Others called it ‘amazing but horrifying’ as one simply said: “This is so creepy.”
Real name Ben Cullen, the baker told Metro.co.uk at the time: “All the parts for the Slowthai cake were made over a one-week period. Each of the limbs were made entirely from vanilla cake and held together with chocolate ganache. The cakes were then covered with sugar-paste and coloured using edible food colouring and airbrushing.
“Lots of the detail took a long time, like hand painting the tattoos onto the body parts and even hand painting individual hairs onto the arms and legs.”
