The movie begins with Baby Bink now a toddler, known as Ben, living happily with his wealthy parents in Chicago. His mischievous nature hasn’t changed, and he’s always getting into trouble. One day, during a family outing at a charity event, Ben is kidnapped by a new trio of crooks who think they can easily pull off a ransom plan after learning about the previous failed attempt.
The new kidnappers, led by a bumbling but mean-spirited criminal named Marty, think they’ve learned from the mistakes of the original trio. They decide to keep Ben in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. However, as soon as they turn their backs, Ben manages to wriggle free from his bindings. With his curious nature and a bit of luck, he escapes through a small vent.
The rest of the movie follows Ben as he makes his way back through the bustling streets of Chicago, unknowingly causing chaos wherever he goes. From accidentally getting on a construction site and swinging on a wrecking ball to ending up in a zoo where he befriends a playful baby elephant, Ben’s adventure is both hilarious and heartwarming.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers are in hot pursuit but end up in one comical mishap after another. They’re chased by a group of angry bees, get stuck on top of a giant Ferris wheel, and even end up being chased by the zoo’s security guards after trying to sneak in to capture Ben. All the while, Ben’s parents are frantically searching for him, coordinating with the police, and following clues to his whereabouts.
The climax occurs when Ben inadvertently crashes a parade celebrating the city’s anniversary, becoming the unintentional star of the show. His parents spot him on the news and rush to his rescue. In a final showdown, the kidnappers are hilariously subdued by Ben’s antics, and the police arrest them.
In the end, Ben is safely reunited with his family, leaving the audience with a feel-good message about love, resilience, and the unstoppable spirit of a little adventurer.
